A very nice platform game
The first level (Wood Zone) is an interactive "Options Level", where you can choose your player character, saved game, play mode, etc.
From there, you may start your game, entering into any of the gameplay levels described below. Sonic and Tails's story begins differently from Knuckles', so the first half of the game will consist of different levels.
Sonic and Tails' adventure begins on Shining Island, while Knuckles' adventure begins on Angel Island (Guardian Castle)

Nadien komt u in de volgende level, naargelang u hebt gekozen voor Sonic, Tails of Knuckles.
Sonic en Tails beginnen in de "Shining Island" level, terwijl Knuckles avontuur op het "Angel Island" (Guardian Castle) start.
