X-It Again | |
English:
Sokoban Style Puzzle Game.
Authors Description :
Viewed from above, the task in each level of X-It is to create a path to walk through to the exit, by moving blocks around a walled arena.
The movement physics are fairly true to real life - blocks can only be pushed if there is a block's worth of space behind them, and nothing immediately ahead of them.
The levels are full of gaps, through which blocks can be pushed - this has the double effect of freeing up extra room in the level, and allowing you to walk over those spaces.
Other hazards include ice which prevents blocks from stopping until they go past it.

X-It Again is an excellent remake of Psygnosis's puzzler for the Amiga that is very similar to a Sokoban game where the idea is to fill the holes with objects to make your way to the exit. The games graphics are a bit retro style and could of been better but the gameplay makes up for it as a fun and playable game. Instructions can be found inside the Documents folder, with some rather useful hints provided. All tiles are described in detail, for example glue tiles can be walked over but blocks get stuck when they are pushed onto them. At least one level contains red herrings as well.
Note :
Profiles are used to save progress instead of passwords, although to play in full screen the setting.ini file has to be edited. Change the Fullscreen value from 0 to 1 in order to maximize the window.
