A Very Good Remake of Ghostbusters.
Authors Description :
In case you have never played it, Ghostbusters was the inevitable movie tie in released on the 8 bit machines.
You are given a budget of ten grand to purchase a car and equipment for your new business.
You then proceed to roam ( the perfectly square ) city map looking for haunted buildings.
Once you find one, you are taken to the ghost catching screen where you have to trap the ghost between your particle accelerator beams.
Once you have the little bugger trapped between your mighty pulsating beams, you whack the trap and catch him.
Miss him and you get slimed and a guy taken out of action.
Once the slowly rising PK energy gets to high, you are summoned to Zuul where you must get past the marshmallow man, assuming you have earned more money than you begun with.
The remake features massivley updated graphics from the talented Mr Smila.
The music is comprised of 2 mp3 sound tracks supplied by Xentrix and the Evil Scotsman.
I have enhanced the gameplay to make it more fluid, speeding it up where needed.
I also re done the driving section as it was rather pointless before.
Now there is traffic to avoid and money to collect.
You are penalised cash if you hit another car.
We have also added a wee surprise at the end .
Something strange in the neighbourhood, who do you call ?? GHOSTBUSTERS. This remake game kinda refresh my childhood memories while watching the cartoon. A very smooth action game with certain objectives to win the game. The game also has equipments and cars to choose from. You started off with some amount of money and have to catch ghost to earn much more. Once you earned enough and the time has come , you will have to face the last king , Gozer. The famous Marshmallow is also being introduced as well. More help is also available on the readme.text. Overall, it is an enjoyable game with original music and characters. A thumbs up for me indeed !!!
