A great multiplayer 2D shooter
This is a multiplayer 2D shooter with DirectX 8.1 graphics and FMOD sound envinronment. It supports following screen resolutions: 320x200 - 2048x1536. The networking code could support up to 32 players.
Minimal system requirements: CPU 450 MHz, 120 MB HDD, 32 MB RAM (recommended 64 MB), DirectX 8.1 compatible video card, sound card (but it will work without it), keyboard, mouse, 33.6k modem connection speed (recommended 56k or higher).
* There are 10 maps, 7 characters (we can found Agent Smith from Matrix, but why they did'n implemented Snake?) and 3 game modes in the game. The maps are too different. Great Warehouse, where the fight is most dynamic. We must avoid loads of bullets by jumping from crate to crate to hide. However the JurassicPark map is really too big and dark.
* The thing that authors has made very good is noctovision. Blind effects looks very well.
* Weapons are quite differential: Glock, shotgun, rocket launcher, grenades and special weapons. Additional weapons we can select, when we have got 100 points of adrenaline (we ever get some adrenaline points for killing).
* The crosshair is not so useful for me. I think that better idea is to implement simple +.
* Graphics is really nice but there were some problems with framerate (FarCry has been working faster). The game was working better when I changed the graphics mode from "Higher" to "High".
* Bots play good, but they see other players under trees.
* BEU Net 2006 is really good game.
