Nuclear Age | |
English:
Nuclear Age is a very professionally done remake of an old game called Stone Age. The goal of the game is to pass from the entry point to the exit point within a given time limit.
You control the main character via the arrowkeys and can also select and slide various platforms to help get to the exit. Besides these, there are keys, collapsing floors, teleports, etc.
The presentation of the game is flawless. The menu has a well-designed, futuristic theme, the music and sound effects fit in perfectly, the in-game animations are fluid, and the various level atmospheres with the continuing storyline is a nice touch.
Overall, this is definitely one of the best puzzle games I've ever played.
Pros :
- Simply amazing menu interface. The graphics are flawless and fit perfectly with the theme of the game.
- The controls are simple to learn and use.
- The animations are smooth and well done.
- Plenty of levels and a variety of worlds with an ongoing storyline make it more than just a puzzle game.
- The gameplay is fluid and never once ran slowly on my computer.
- Difficulty levels are superb starting easy and giving a good challenge later on.
Cons :
- Not alot of sound effects. Sliding platform sounds and the like would have been a huge improvement.
- More variety between worlds and the storyline being more embedded in the game itself would have been nice.
This game was an entry of the Caiman Easter contest 2006
