Great racing game with 12 tracks
Great remake of game with same name "F-zero". At first it may look confusing since there is no car, only view infront of you, but after some tim you will get used to it.
I also think that dificulty of this game is too high.
You have to finish the 3 laps within the time limit and without running out of life.
Passing each transparent gate gives you a time bonus.
The controls are the arrow keys (turn left/right, accelerate and brake)and Z for boost.
You can press Enter to quit your current attempt, but if you are in cup mode this will mean losing a life.
Press Escape at any time to return to the menu. If you do this in cup mode you will have to start the cup again from stage 1 the next time you attempt it.
Pros :
- The realism of the physics is unreal. I can't begin to describe how much this adds to the game.
- The graphics are very well done.
- Three, long, difficult tracks mean you won't get bored anytime soon.
- The music fits in excellently.
Cons :
- The time is based on your actual computer's clock. This means that when the game runs slowly (like it sometimes does) you simply cannot make the time. A huge flaw to an otherwise outstanding game.
- Sound effects could use some work.
- Menu could also use some tender loving care.
This game was an entry of the Caiman Easter contest 2006
