CheckerBoard | |
English:
CheckerBoard is a checkers interface which allows you to play: against one of three built in computer opponents, against a human opponent or even watch the computer play against itself. Although a checkers beginner can play this game, it is designed for the extremely serious advanced checkers player. This game has just about every imagineable checkers option that one can think of. You can of course set up the board posistions to your liking, undo moves, set time for computer opponent to 'think', save/open game. Many more options are also available but just to many to list here! There are also Italian and Russian checkers engines available for download from the author's website. In addition to these, there are four additional piece sets available for download, some of which can be seen in the screenshots above.
The game does not play in full screen mode, but instead uses a resizable window. CheckerBoard has an option to beep when the engine makes a move, but this did not work on the author's computer.
If you download this game, be sure to check the author's website for the latest version since it is updated very frequently.
CheckBoard is an easy checkers game to play with it's point and click interface, but very dificult to win if your opponent is one of the three computer engines.
