English:
Use your time machine in Retrospect to help your past self open doors and destroy robots to exit each level. To exit a level in Retrospect you must push a button to open a door at the same time that you go through this door. This can only be accomplished by using your time machine, so that you can be two places at the same time!
Retrospect has no options to speak of and there is no way to save your current progress. The sound and the music are excellent for the theme of this game. The only two drawbacks were the lack of a targeting site and the overall theme being to dark, which was easily compensated for with the brightness contol.
To sum up the game play for the first level:
Walk into next room.
Battle a couple of robots.
Turn on time machine.
Open upstairs door.
Enter time machine to go backwards in time.
Exit time machine.
See your former self kill a couple of robots. (Help him out!)
Move your current self to the upstairs door.
See your former self turn on time machine.
Former self opens upstairs door
Your current self exits upstairs door.
This completes the first level.
If you get killed, run out of time or whatever, you can go to the main menu and restart the current level or even start a new game.
Controls:
Mouse = Look Around/Aim
Left Mouse Button = Fire
Right Mouse Button = Jump
A/D = Strafe Left/Right
W/D = Move Forward/Backward
F= Select/Use
Esc = Menu
Red Button Activates Time Machine
Other Buttons Opens Doors
Retrospect is an excellent 3D shooter with a very unique theme. If you can grasp the idea of going back in time and helping your past self, then it is very enjoyable.
