The objective of Chomp is to take turns with your opponent, taking bites out of this no calorie chocolate bar. The one who takes the last bite loses! The game can be played Human vs Computer, Computer vs Human, Human vs Human or even Computer vs Computer. The default size is 7 x 11 however the chocolate bar can be any size from 1 square to 40 x 40 squares.
Scores are not kept since this is a win or lose situation. Chomp has excellent sound effects but no music and is played in a resizable window. In game help called "How to use Chomp" is very extensive and can be copied and pasted into a text document for later printing if desired.
The game has just about every option imaginable and the current settings are saved when you exit the game. The options which do not have keyboard controls associated with them include...
Computer (AI) Search Time/Depth
Wait Time (before computer moves)
Highlight Selected Squares On/Off
Display Move that computer is thinking about
Show Posistion Evaluation On/Off
Sound On/Off
Controls:
Ctrl+N = Space = New Game
Ctrl+L/S = Load/Save Game State
Ctrl+E = Evaluate Current Posistion
Ctrl+F = Force Computer to Play (Stop Thinking)
Ctrl+H = Change Bar Heigth
Ctrl+W = Change Bar Width
Del = UnDo Move
Shift+Del = ReDo Move
F1 = About Chomp
Ctrl+Q = Quit Game (not recommeded)
Mouse = Point and Click

F2 = Human to Play First
F3 = Computer to Play First
F5 = Human vs Human
F6 = Computer vs Computer
Chomp is a very fun puzzle game to play and at less than 200KB everyone can download it.
