3D Invaders is a 3D remake of the popular old 'Space Invaders' game. The aliens come at you in 5 rows of 10 columns. The viewing perspective can be changed front to back, top to bottom but not side to side. Your goal is to destroy all invading aliens and then you advance to the next wave. Once in a while a mother ship will fly buy and when you shot it, you get bonus points and possibly another goodie, such as an extra life.
The explosions, sound effects and music are all very good. There are no options available for sound or video control. The game is limited to running in a 800x600 pixel window. One of the title screen options is called 'high scores". When I activated this I was expecting to see high scores but all I saw was nothing, not even my own high scores!
Title Screen Controls:
Arrow Keys Left/Right = Select Item
Enter = Activate Selected Item
In Game Controls:
Arrow Keys Left/Right = move left/Right
Arrow Keys Up/Down = Change View
Space = Fire
Esc (4 times) = Quit
Click on the Clsoe Window Gadget (X) = Quit
3D invaders is a fun and simple game that almost everone will enjoy.
