Olympic Games: Freestyle Swimming | |
Jogos Olimpicos - Nado Livre
English:
Game in Portugese (from Brazil)
Compete against seven world class computer opponents in this game called "Olympic Games: Freestyle Swimming" You can represent one of eight countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Holland, Russia, USA and Sovereign Military Order of Malta. You can choose one of three events: 50 meter, 100 meter or 200 meter freestyle swimming. The fouth option gives you help in Portugese. After you have selected your country by choosing it's flag; wait for the start CHIME. Then push either the left or the right arrow key to start swimming. What you want to do next is syncronize the pushing of the left and right arrow keys with the maximum red on the indicators of the left and right side of the swimmer. When the red line on the left side of the swimmer is at its maximum, push the left arrow key and likewise when the red line on the right of the swimmer is at its maximum, press the right arrow key. For an added boost in speed you can press and hold the shift key and you will see the 'Vigor' bar quickly decrease. But, this will cause your swimmer to get tired much easier.
The game only runs in a small window of 320x200. It has no music but acceptable sound effects (crowd cheering, splash of water). This game is a test of your hand eye coordination.
Controls:
Left/Right Arrow Keys = Swim
Shift = Speed Boost
If you are a diehard swimmer and just can't seem to get enough of the water then "Olympic Games: Freestyle Swimming" might be for you.
