Battle Chopper | |
English:
Battle Chopper is a very difficult older 3D helicopter simulation. You are the pilot of an AH-64 Apache helicopter and your objective is to rescue downed pilots who are behind enemy lines. What makes this game so dificult is that while you are flying you must evade incoming missles from airplanes/helicopters and shoot down these same airplanes/helicopters. Enemies on the ground are shooting at you with shoulder mounted SAMs and armored tanks are also out to get you. Follow the white arrow on the screen to your immediate destination and then land to pick up the downed pilot. You have several different weaponms at your displosal which include a chaingun, stinger and laser guided missles. For counter measures against heat seeking missiles you have flares. You get points for the number of enemies shot down and the number of rescues which you make.
The graphics are rather chunkie but the sound effects are quite good. The game only runs in 640x400 full screen mode. There is music at the beginning of the game and at appropriate places during the game.
Controls:

If you are up to a challenging helicopter simulation but don't mind the older looking grapghics then Battle Chopper could be for you.
